Evelyn Bunting, 82, of Bloomington, Ill., died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at Heritage Manor in Normal, Ill. She was born in Marmaduke on June 23, 1925, the daughter of Claude Gore and Anna Puckett. She and Herschel R. Bunting married on May 9, 1942, in Caraway. She was a charter member of Grace Church of Normal.

She is survived by her husband, Herschel Bunting of Bloomington, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Larry Sanders; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Rachel Bunting and Randall and Shirley Bunting; brothers and sisters, Leon Gore, Ronnie Gore, Emma Hunt, Claudette Folks, LaRue Mitchell, Patty Valentine, and Jeaninne Baxter; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and an infant son.

The funeral was held at Grace Church in Normal, Ill., with Pastor Ed Scearce officiating. Entombment was at Park Hill Mausoleum in Bloomington, Ill. Arrangements were under the direction of Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington, Ill.
