Leachville

James Richard "Ricky" Williams, 59, of Leachville, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at his home. Born in Memphis, Tenn., he was the son of the late Jimmy and Joyce Richardson Williams, and was raised by his grandparents, Jake and Bessie Richardson. He had been a Leachville resident since 1967 and was employed by Hytrol Manufacturing of Jonesboro. He was a former longtime employee of McFarlin Trucking Company of Monette and had worked for Puckett Trucking in Leachville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and member of the Leachville Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Williams.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Bogart Williams, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and John Wessman of Jonesboro; three sisters, Sally Handley, Janie Mosley, both of Blytheville, and Jamie Sue Keen of Bixby, Mo.; four grandchildren, Hunter, Payton, Kaitlyn and Ethan; five nieces and one nephew.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Wes McAdams officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
