Leachville

Kenneth Lynn Blocker, 56, a lifetime resident of Leachville, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born Dec. 10, 1950, at Manila to the late Richard "Dick" and Clara Wilborn Blocker. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Leachville and a longtime empolyee of Viskase Corp. at Osceola.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Carolyn Blocker of the home; two daughters and their husbands, Michelle and Barry Pruitt of Monette and Samantha and Johnny Bonds of Mountain View; a son and his wife, Dwayne and Tiffany Blocker of Leachville; two sisters, Louise Cook of Paragould and Cathrine Henson of Osceola; six grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Blocker, and a sister, Betty Wright.

A celebration of his life was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Gregg Funeral Home chapel at Monette with the Rev. Donnie Morrison and the Rev. Tim Newman officiating. Burial was in Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were Sam House, John Hurley, Dwane Lucius, Gary Gardner, Sylvester Belcher and James McFatridge.

Honorary pallbearers were Ray Hiser, Dennis Brunney, B.R. Miller, Benny Towel, Nick Daley and B.A. Allan.

Lasting memorials may be sent to First Assembly of God Church in Leachville.
