Leachville

Mary Lou Parker, 75, of Leachville, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at Monette Manor Nursing Home. Born at Senath, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ola Wilson Gholston and was a graduate of Senath High School. She had been a Leachville resident for most of her life and was retired from the former Brown Shoe Company in Leachville. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Leachville First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Carnell "Bud" Parker of Leachville; a daughter, Robbie Askue of Arbyrd, Mo.; a brother, Ed Gholson, of St. Peters, Mo.; four sisters, Margaret Loveless of Eureka, Mo., Peggy Faulkner of Imperial, Mo., Bonnie Montgomery of Webster Groves, Mo.; and Brenda Willcutt of Birmingham, Ala.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Paul Faulkner and Rev. Rudy Davis officiating. Burial was in McGrew Cemetery near Senath, Mo.

Pallbearers were James Thomas, Dean Thomas, Mark Johnson, Tommy Eldried, Randy Rose, and Mike Willyerd.
