Reeds Spring, Mo.

Jimmy Loyd Dean, 58, of Reeds Spring, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at his home. Born in Alicia, he was the son of the late Eual and Ruby Riley Dean and had been a longtime resident of Cleburne, Texas, before making his home in Reeds Spring 11 years ago. He was a carpenter and a member of the Healing River Worship Center in Walnut Shade, Mo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Atkinson.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Carol Gambill Dean, of the home; a son, Jimmy Eual Dean of Reeds Spring, Mo.; four daughters, Shelia Batterton of Yellville, Tina Meyer of Flippin, Sharon Davis of Reeds Spring, Mo., and Barbara Bullard of Cleburne, Texas; 12 grandchildren Ely, Ciera, Isaiah, Moriah, Sariah, Bethany, Leeann, Cheyenne, Brittney, Justin, Aaron and Patricia; and two great-grandchildren, McKinzey and Tanner.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Manila Cemetery with Pastor Timothy Snider officiating. Services were under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
