Virgil Lee "Buddy" Miller, 70, of Jonesboro, formerly of Manila, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at his residence. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Virgil Jackson and Wanda Lee Files Miller and had been a longtime Manila area resident before making his home in Jonesboro. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded n death by a brother, Ralph Wayne "Bo" Miller and a sister, Judy Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Ann Osborne Miller of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sonya Miller of Jonesboro; two grandsons, Heath and Cody, and a host of family and friends.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Jonesboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Elvis Brandon officiating. Services were under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.

Serving as pallbearers were Tony Files, Gerald Williams, mark Gallion, Roger Blankenship, David Hudson, and Dean Lamberth.

Family and friends gathered at the valley View Missionary Baptist Church Thursday morning for the procession to the cemetery.
