William Edward "Ed" Robertson

William Edward "Ed" Robertson, 60, of Leachville, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. Born in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Rachael Robertson and had been a Leachville resident for the past 10 years. He was a former maintenance worker for the Leachville Housing Authority and was of the Church of God faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Alvin Fortner.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Louise Robertson of the home; two sons, Nealis Lee Fortner of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Horace Daniel Fortner of Leachville; two brothers, Carl Robertson of Stoneville, N.C., and Clyde Robertson of Hedding, N.C.; two sisters, Ada Belle Robertson of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Martha Davison of Indianapolis, Ind.; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mr. Robertson's home in Leachville. Friends may sign the online guest register located at www.howardfuneralservice.com.
