Jonesboro

Margaret Marjorie Marshall, 85, of Jonesboro formerly of Manila, died Sunday, April 22, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Houston, Ark., she was the daughter of the late George and Janie parks Lee and had been a former long-time Manila resident and was a retired employee of Manila Public Schools. She was the widow of W.A. McGuire and a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Trumann. She had been a faithful worker in several apostolic churches in Mississippi County.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Oliver; four sisters, and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Ellis Marshall, of Jonesboro; two sons, Dennis McGuire of Manila and Michael McGuire of Jonesboro; two daughters, Barbara Perry of Center, Texas, and Jo Karen Ball of Paragould; a sister, Thelma Ussery of Paragould; two step-sons, Marvin Marshall of Walnut Ridge and Lamar Marshall of West Memphis; three step-daughters, Virginia Pride of Wright City, Mo., Ada Bryant of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Darlene Stubbs of Blytheville; 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
