Fern Elizabeth Vincent, 93, of rural Lake City died Friday, April 6, 207, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Oklahoma, Mrs. Vincent moved to this area 80 years ago. She was a homemaker and member of Liberty Missionary Baptist church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Doodle" Vincent; two sons, Shanley Vincent and Shelby Vincent; a sister, Francis Naff; and a brother, Shanley Starr.

Survivors include a daughter, Vikki Denton of Jonesboro; two sons, Quillon Vincent of Bay and Dillon Vincent of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Gary Don Vincent, Gregory Vincent, Allen Vincent, Zak Vincent, Jessica Southard, Stacy Lynn Johns and Rachel Denton; and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Monday at Jonesboro Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Jolly officiating.

Pallbearers were Gregory Vincent, Gary Don Vincent, Allen Vincent, Seth Southard, Tommy Johns and Bobby Southard. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Ashlock and Jeremy Ashlock.
