Leachville

George C. Motley, 69, of Leachville, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Nov. 29, 1937, at Clarkton, Mo., he was the son of the late Edgar and Alice Blackwood Motley and had lived most of his life in the Leachville area. He was a farmer and a member of the Leachville First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Agnos Marie Motley.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, June Henson Motley of the home; four daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Allen Donner of Manila, Donna and Vernon Williams of Bartlett, Tenn., Dee and Barry White of Lakeland, Tenn., and Dana and Kevin Felts of Paragould; 13 grandchildren, Heath and Jessica Donner, Adam and Carrie Donner, Katie Donner, Brandon Williams, Ashley Williams, Lindsey and Jacob Hall, Heather White, Colton White, April Felts and Kayci Felts; a sister, Frances Hueter of Leachville.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Dwight Harrison officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Larry Dunkerson, Dan Dunkerson, Steve Haigwood, Jace Cagle, Jonathan May, and Phillip Lyerly.

Honorary pallbearers were J.R. Robinson, Ronnie Metcalf, Marvin Brown, Travis Galyean, and Gerald Edgin.
