Arliss Julie Reed, 77, of Leachville, widow of Thomas O. Reed, died Saturday, Dec. Dec. 9, 2006, at her home. Born at Rector, she was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Griffin Copeland and had been a Leachville resident since 1955. Mrs. Reed was with Brown Shoe Company until its closing in Leachville and later joined the staff of Leachville Discount Drug Store. She was a longtime member of the Leachville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Donna Reed of Conway; two grandchildren, Ryan Reed of Bee Branch and Randi Loter of Conway; a great-grandson, Lathan Loter of Conway; two brothers, Earl Clayton and J.C. Clayton, both of Rector.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Donnie Hudson officiating. Burial will be in the Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector.
