Charles H. McDaniel - Lake City

Charles Homer McDaniel, 90, of Lake City died Thursday, July 20, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Linn, Mo., he lived in St. Louis before moving to Lake City in 1985. He was a farmer and retired with 30 years of service from Ludlow-Saylor Manufacturing at St. Louis. He was a Methodist and was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred McDaniel, in 2002.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Wester of St. Louis and Jean Martin of Lake City; a sister, Jessie Spillman of Linn; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Pine Log Cemetery with Rev. Ron Langston officiating. Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City was in charge of arrangements.
