Nina Bell Johnson - Manila

Nina Bell Johnson, 79, of Manila, died Monday, June 5, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Cape Girardeau, Mo., she was the daughter of the late George Roach and Lola Dodge Leflae. She had been a longtime Manila area resident and a member of the People of Praise United Pentecostal Church in Leachville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Kay Laflae and Chuck Laflae, and a granddaughter, Angela Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson leaves her husband of 61 years, Robert "Bolton" Johnson of Manila; five sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Jerry Johnson and Willine, of Leachville, Eulis Johnson and Clora, Larry Johnson and Debbie, Ricky Johnson and Julie, and Timmy Johnson and Rhonda, all of Manila; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Wesley Curtwright, of Manila; a half-sister, Judine Laflae of Russellville; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral chapel in Manila with Rev. Don Johnson and Rev. Tim Butler officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dennis Johnson, Bradley Curtwright, Brian Curtwright, Spencer Cain, Gregg Hawkins and Jeremy Howard.

Honorary pallbearers were Rev. Mike Bingham, Raun Barker, Bubby Johnson and Korey Cain.
