Edna B. Holland - Monette

Edna B. Holland, 85, of Monette, died Monday, April 24, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Mrs. Holland was born on March 12, 1921, at Lowell to Arthur and Frankie Smith. She was an active member of the Church of Christ in Monette and a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Holland; a daughter, Joy Holland; a son, Timmy Holland; two brothers, Troy Smith and Jim Smith; and two sisters, Avo Kimmer and Margaret Prince.

She is survived by sons, George Edd Holland of Monette and Michael Holland of Imboden; daughter, Kathy Baldridge of Lake City; grandchildren, Nichole Brewer of Jonesboro, Brooke Holland of Monette, Sarah Holland and Amanda Holland of Imboden, Micah Edwards of Monette, and Aaron Baldridge of Batesville; great-grandson, Jackson Brewer of Jonesboro; brothers, Allen Smith and Ray Smith of Monette, and Jay Smith of Lead Hill; and sister, Virginia Kirkpartrick of Jonesboro.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Monette Church of Christ with Art Smith and Larry Woodward officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were Herbert Cullum, Jr., John Thomison, Kevin Baldridge, Noel Eggers, Jason Brewer and Terry Edwards.

Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Smith, Michael Smith, Jimmy Smith, Raymond Keller, Joe Wallis, Eddie Dunigan and the Sunday Morning Women's Bible Class.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Paragould Children's Home or the Church of Christ in Monette.
