Myrtle Marie Lyerly - Leachville

Myrtle Marie Lyerly, 81, of Leachville, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Tuckerman, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Maggie Trusty Johnson and had been a Leachville resident since 1939. She was the widow of R.W. Lyerly and had attended the Arbyrd Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Brooks.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, R.W. and Barbara Lyerly of Ash Flat, Phillip and Pam Lyerly of Leachville; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jeff Moore of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, Mary Wright of Manila, Willadene Ott of Arnold, Mo., Patsy Simons of Arnold, Mo., and Olene Hicks of Manila; six grandchildren, Shane Lyerly, Becky Brown, Greg Lyerly, Erick Lyerly, Jan Smithson, and Jon Prather; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Mr. Alvin Leach officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Grant Galyean, Jesse Johnson, Eric Kisner, Eric Kisner Jr., Bobby Langston, and Travis Galyean.
