Nola May Brown - Leachville

Nola May Brown, 96, of Leachville, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at her home. Born at Black Oak she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Winnie Scott Mangrum and had been a Leachville resident since 1938. She was the widow of W.G. "Bill" Brown and a longtime member of the Leachville First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and LaDon Brown of Leachville and Bill E. and Beverly Brown of Bogalusa, La.; two daughters, Vivian Wright of Leachville and Winnie Hill of Paragould; a sister, Addie Leverett of Lake City; nine grandchildren, Stanley Wright, Gary Wright, Angie Steichen, Suzanne Killebrew, Willi Brown, Lisa Page, Donna Williamson, Deanna Clifton and Philip Brown; 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Rudy Davis officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
