Ginger Brown - Monette

Ginger Brown, 75, of Monette died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. Born in Springfield, Mo., she had lived in Monette and the Black Oak area since 1952. She was a homemaker and a member of Monette Methodist Church.

She was the widow of George Brown, who died in 1996, and was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marion McElvancy Allbright.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Amy Brown of Lake City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Robert Chambers of Monette and Karen and Kenny Vaughn of Black Oak; a sister, Mary Evelyn Gray of Jefferson City, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Kyle Vaughn, Jon Kurt Vaughn, Michael Wayne Brown and Katie Brown.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Everett Isom and Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Monette Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of the arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Donald Rodgers, Randy Hutchison, R.E. "Bud" Cannon, Max Alexander, Gene Gathright, Dan Dunkerson, Harry Adams Jr., and Marvin Browning.
