Sherman Lee Pierce - Ravenden Springs

Sherman Lee Pierce, 62, of Ravenden Springs died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at his residence. Born Dec. 10, 1943, in Craighead County, son of Henry and Martha Hamilton Pierce, he was an auto body repairman in Paragould and of the Baptist belief. He was united in marriage to Glenda Copeland in 1989.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Pierce, of the home; his father and stepmother, Henry and Ora Pierce of Jonesboro; his mother, Martha Burchard of Manila; three brothers, Darrell Pierce and wife, Emily, of Tennessee, Dennis Pierce of Manila and Garrell (Bud) Pierce of Florida; a son, Michael Pierce of North Carolina; three daughters, Sherma Simpkins of Fayetteville, Lesa Szerivowski of Hoxie and Denise Pease of Oak Grove; five stepchildren, Wayne Ross of Kansas, Shawn Ross and Dana Kelley, both of Ravenden Springs, Andrew Ross of Pocahontas and David Ross of Imboden; and 23 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ken Burchard.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bryan Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. this evening (Tuesday).
