Millie J. Powell - Texarkana, Arkansas

Millie J. Powell, 89, of Texarkana, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, in Texarkana. Born in Carmi, she was formerly of Caraway. She was a retired postal service worker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Daryl Powell, Sr. of Ashdown; two grandchildren, Daryl Powell, Jr. of Texarkana, and Latresa Powell of Austin, Texas; and a great-granddaughter, Amanda Powell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Montie Powell; and her parents, Alex and Maud Glover Williams.

A celebration of her life was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Bro. Lloyd Lamb officiating. Burial was at Macey Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Moentte.

Pallbearers were men of Caraway Church of Christ.
