Ruby Lee Crowell - Leachville

Ruby Lee Crowell, 92, of Leachville, widow of Russ Crowell, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at Great River Medical center in Blytheville. Born at Huff (near Batesville), she was the daughter of Joseph and Mattie Sheffer and had been a Leachville resident since 1936. She was a farmer's wife, a homemaker and member of the Leachville First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Norita Crowell of Manila; her daughter and son-in-law, Nita and Mike Bridges of Leachville; her son-in-law, Donald Rodgers of Jonesboro; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Sue Rodgers.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Kausler officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.

Pallbearers were Joey Crowell, Tony Crowell, John David Bridges, Vernon Henry, Nathan Sanders and Mike Bridges.
