Evelyn Nesbit Fleeman - Manila

Evelyn Nesbit Fleeman, 91, of Manila, the widow of Tom Fleeman, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at her home. Born at White Oak, Mo., she was the daughter of Urban and Allie Robertson Griffith and had been a Manila resident since 1925. She was a longtime member of the Manila United Methodist Church serving in the Chancel Choir and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Fleeman was a retired beautician.

She is survived by three sons, Tommy Fleeman of Marietta, Ga., Danny Fleeman of Manila and Dennis Fleeman, of Benton; a daughter, Vicki Flippo of Houston, Texas, a sister, Bertha Mae Stewart, of Blytheville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Binnie Fleeman, and a daughter, Kathryn Branum.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Manila with Pastor Stephen Waggoner and Rev. James Chipman officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral service of Manila.
