Ted C. Kelton - Memphis, Tenn.

Ted C. Kelton, 31, of Memphis, Tenn., died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was born in Jonesboro and had lived there before moving to Memphis four years ago. He was a member of the Jonesboro Worship Center and was an avid billiard competitor and a member of a billiard league for six years.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Kelton, of Memphis; a son, Hunter Morgan Brooks, Brentwood, Tenn.; his parents, Ron and Cheryl Kelton of Jonesboro; a sister and brother-in-law-, Kimberly Kelton and Jim Jaco, Austin, Texas; his paternal grandparents, Hershel and Ruby Kelton of caraway; his maternal grandmother, Elwanda Tatum of Batesville; and nieces Isabella and Victoria Jaco, Austin, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Sid C. Tatum.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Emerson Memorial chapel with Rev. Stephen Judd and Rev. Scott Voss officiating with burial at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Steve Leder, Kristopher Kelton, Brad Pendegraft, Matthew Chism, Jim Jaco, and Steve Richmond.
