Joe Rameriz, Jr., 71, of Victoria, died Monday, July 25, 2005, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Houston, Texas, Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1933, to Joseph Rameriz and Otelia (Guerra) Rameriz, he was an area resident for many years, farmer, and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Rameriz of Manila and David Rameriz of Ashland, Miss.; five daughters, Linda Miller of Blue Mountain, Miss., Cathy Miller of Ripley, Miss., Mary Ann Wilkerson of Victoria, JoAnn Rameriz of Arizona, and Brenda Mincy of Walnut, Miss.; four brothers, Aurther Rameriz of Blytheville, Joey Rameriz of Blytheville, Jessie Rameriz of Florida, and Paul Rameriz of Osceola; five sisters, Navis Quentiero of Joliet, Ill., Mary Ann Thomas of Osceola, Mary Rameriz of Joliet, Ill., Juanita Halpain of Osceola, and Pauline Handley of Decatur, Ala.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Radell Rameriz; two sisters, Maggie Cano and Josephine Rameriz; a son, Joey Rameriz; and two daughters, Peggy Sue Rameriz and Carolyn Rameriz.

Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Robert White officiating. Interment was at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
