Hazel Geneva Pate

Hazel Geneva Pate, 84, of Leachville, widow of Burnice "Bud" Pate, died Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born at Malden, Mo., she was the daughter of Edward and Cindy Riggs Sneed and a lifelong resident of Leachville. She was a homemaker and member of Leachville Second Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, three brothers and eight sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Edward Pate of Monette, Bobby Pate of Leachville and Billy Pate of Marion, Ill.; a sister, Opal Sneed of Kennett, Mo.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services were 2 p.m. Saturday at Howard Funeral Service chapel in Leachville with burial in Leachville Cemetery.
