Alfred L. Russell - Lake City

Alfred L. Russell, 69, of Lake City died Monday, April 11, 2005, at his residence.

Born in Trumann, he was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired from Colson Caster Co. He had lived in Lake City for the past 25 years and was a Lutheran.

Survivors include his wife, Lois M. Blackmon Russell of the home; two sons, Kenneth Wayne Russell of Missouri and Fred Russell of Michigan; five daughters, Sherry Naron of Memphis, Naomi Curly and Gloria Russell, both of Aberdeen, Wash., Kathy Campbell of Hoquiam, Wash., and Adell Russell of Tacoma, wash.; three sisters, Elsie Upton of Richmond, Ind., Verna Strakacker of Sun City, Ariz., and Joanne Bills of Peoria, Ariz.; 21 grandhcildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro with James Russell officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery at Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Sherry Naron, Jean McCullough, Chuck Harris, Leslie Naron and Jim Russell.
