Erma Jane Richardson - Lake City

Erma Jane Richardson, 77, formerly of Lake City died Thursday, April 14, 2004, at Hilltop Nursing Center at Harrison.

She was born at Lake City and lived in the area most of her life. A retired food service worker at Arkansas State University, she was a member of First Assembly of God of Lake City.

Survivors include a son, Lonnie Richardson of Dallas; two daughters, Connie grim of Branson, Mo., and Mary Jo Hopkins of Blountville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Pamela Pierce and Daniel Smith, both of Elizabethton, Tenn., Brad Smith of Johnson City, Tenn., Tony grim of Oklahoma, Alan Grim of Branson and Jordon Richardson of Lake City; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Richardson; her parents, Stanley and Opal Doak; her stepmother, Verna Doak; and a sister.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro with Rev. Steve Crawford officiating. Burial was in the Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers were Gary Metz, James List, Nickey Fletcher, Maxie Jones, Gerald Eaker and Gerald Craig.

Warren Short, Julius Hutcheson, Dr. Michael Crawley, Ezra Metz and William Fry served as honorary pallbearers.
