James Wayne Stallings - Williford

James Wayne Stallings, 57, of Williford, formerly of Manila, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at his residence. Born at Manila, he was a longtime resident of Rockford, Ill. He was a retired machine operator for the Gunite Corp. and had lived in Williford for three years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Newman Stallings of the home; two sons, Brian Stallings of Rockford and James Licari of Williford; two daughters, Misty Stallings of Rockford and Sarah Licari-Conti of Little Rock; his mother, Maria Stallings of Manila; a sister, Sheila Metheny of Manila, and five grandchildren, Terry, Nicole, Brianna, Shannon and Shane Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Earl Stallings.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Howard Funeral service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Jessie Whittington officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
