Lovie Estell Ward - Leachville

Lovie Estell Ward, 72, of Leachville, the widow of Ephriam Ward, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at her home. Born at Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Gooch and had been a longtime Leachville area resident. She was retired from Randoll Textron in Blytheville and had been a longtime member of the Happy Corner Assembly of God Church in Leachville.

She is survived by a son, Rev. John Elmer Ward and his wife, Kristen, of Warren, Ill.; a daughter, Judith Diane Love, and her husband Allen, of Leachville; her mother, Zona Gooch of Senath; two sisters, Gretha Bennett of Marshall, Mich., and Lavonda Walker of Cardwell, Mo.; three grandchildren, one grand-daughter in-law, and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ephriam Ward, Jr., a daughter, Cynthia Jane Ward, and a grandson, Allen Jerome Love.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Donnie Morrison officiating. Burial was in the Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland.

Active pallbearers were Vaughn Love, Dexter Milligan, Michael Walls, Michael Key, Johnny Ward and David Ward.

Honorary pallbearers were Billy Carter and Jace Cagle.
