Thelma Fields - Lake City

Thelma Fields, 74, of Lake City died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Black Oak, she had lived in the Lake City area for the last 40 years. She was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Stevens of Peoria, Ariz., Hap Boswell of Quilin, Mo., and Kenny Fields of Lake City; four brothers, Sam Roe of Hughes, Joe Roe of Isabella, Mo., Gary Roe of Imperial, Calif., and Jerry Roe of Ward, Mo.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Fields, and her parents, Oscar and Susie Roe.

A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Oakridge Cemetery in Doniphan, Mo., with Roma Adams and Terry Adams officiating.

Active pallbearers were David Fields, Chris DeArmond, Walter Roe, Eddie Vickers, James Stevens and Allen Stevens.

Frank Flynn and Herb Smith served as honorary pallbearers.
