Lyda I. VanHorn - Wilburn

Lyda I. VanHorn, 84, of Wilburn died Oct. 12, 2004 at South Ridge Village Nursing Home in Heber Springs. She was born at May 19, 1920, at Hornersville, Mo. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Pocahontas.

Survivors include five daughters, Mamie Brielmaier of Edwardsburg, Mich., Ruth Rogers of Leachville, Velma Wyatt of Memphis, Rosie Hill of Wilburn and Margie Stephens of Mountain View, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Donna Sue Wright of Elk Hart, Ind.; 20 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon VanHorn, a daughter, Bertha Anderson, a stepson, Rickey VanHorn, her parents, Henry and Samantha Luter, a sister and a brother.

Services were 10 a.m. Friday in Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home chapel, Jonesboro, Bro. Bill Gray officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery at Brookland.

Active pallbearers were Gaylon Rogers, Curt Lovins, Bobby Hill, Jr., John Brielmaier, Johnny Russell and Bill Haskett.
