Larry Dean Hawkins-Lake City

Larry Dean Hawkins, 50 of Lake City died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Jonesboro, he lived in St. Louis before moving to Lake City several years ago. He worked for Raider Tire Co., and Firestone Tire Service. He was an Army veteran and attended Lake City United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Joshua Hawkins of Little Rock; two daughters, Amanda Hawkins and Amber Hawkins, both of Little Rock; his mother and stepfather, Joy and Melvin White of Lake City; a sister, Brenda Fels of St. Charles, Mo.; two stepbrothers, Mel White and Jimmy White, both of Jonesboro; a stepsister, Melba Gatlin of Jonesboro, and two grandchildren, Natalie Hawkins and Nathan Hawkins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don Potter.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. Monday in Lake City Cemetery, with the Rev. Bruce Higgins officiating. Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City was in charge of arrangements.
