Bobby H. Looney - Leachville

Bobby H. Looney, 73, of Leachville died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at his home.

Born in Leachville, he was a retired farmer and merchant and a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also a veteran of the Korean War and a volunteer for the Leachville Fire Department for 26 years. He owned and operated a Fred's Franchise Store in Kennett, Mo. He was the owner and operator of Looney's Tractor & Auto Parts in Leachville for 12 years. In addition to serving as deacon in his church, he was secretary of the Sunday School for many years and director of training union. He was also treasurer of the Leachville Little League for seveal years.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Maryln Looney of the home; a sister, Margaret Looney Malloy of Blytheville; a brother, James Looney of Blytheville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee and Lou Ann Looney; a brother and a sister.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Leachville.
