Roy Douglas Hurt - Leachville

Roy Douglas Hurt, 61, of Leachville, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at the Manila Nursing Center.

Born at Wilson, he was a former Keiser and Manila area resident and had lived in Leachville for the past nine years. He was a retired farmer and was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Hamm Hurt of the home; four sons, Roy Hurt, Jr. of Manila, Patrick Hurt, Louis Hurt and Jason Hurt, all of Leachville; a daughter, Kathy Carter of Jonesboro; his mother, Mrs. Maxine Pratt of Wilson; a brother, Donald Hurt of Blytheville; a sister, Azalia Pratt of Wilson; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kaleb Chase Carter.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Randy Huddleston officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
