Deborah Lynn (Ward) Ewald, 53, formerly of Paragould, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, April and Tom Rowell, of Indianapolis, Ind. Memorial services were held Sunday, Aug. 29, at Herrmann Funeral Home in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Ewald was born Sept. 5, 1950, at Monette to George C. and Arveleah (Nelson) Ward. She was a retired licensed practical nurse.

Suvivors include her husband, Kyle Ewald of Walnut Ridge; children, April L. Rowell and Gregory Davis, both of Indianapolis; her mother, Arveleah Ward of Galesburg, Mich.; grandchildren, Heather L. Coleman, Leah M. Whaley and Alexander Palmore, all of Indianapolis; a brother, David Ward of Paragould; several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ewald was preceded in death by her father, George C. Ward; grandparents, George and Beulah Ward and Ed and Myrtle Nelson; aunt, Mary (Ward) West; uncles, Barrett Ward, Ted Ward and Winford Ward; Bill Nelson, Charles Nelson and Douglas Nelson.
