Doug Terrell - Lake City

Doug Terrell, 44, of Lake City, died Monday, July 5, 2004, at his home.

A lifelong resident of Lake City, he was a 1977 graduate of Lake City High School. He was employed by Terrell Heat and Air Service in Jonesboro, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lake City.

Survivors include his mother, Marie Smullin Terrell of New Johnsonville, Tenn.; his father, Charles L. Terrell of Lake City; and two brothers, Donald Ray Terrell of Baxter, Tenn., and Steven Darren Terrell of Ozark, Mo.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Lake City with Rev. Larry Owens officiating. Burial was in Pine Long Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.

Active pallbearers were Michael Sullivan, Jeff Mattix, Owen Slater, Ronnie Bowman, Al Mangrum and Brance Reeves.

Honorary pallbearers were Mitchell Davis, Jim Miller, Terry Hood and Ira Spurlock.
