Israel Ray Austin - Manila

Israel Ray Austin, 31, of Manila, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at his residence. Born in Manila he was the son of Jerry and Shirley Austin Hale and had been a lifelong Manila area resident and was a former construction worker and handyman.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Shirley Hale of Manila; two sons, James Ray Austin of the home and Christopher Edward Austin of Paragould; two brothers, Louis Barks of Pebble Beach, Calif. And Gary Barks and his wife, Michelle Barks, of Manila; three uncles, Gary Rabey of Paragould, Dwayne Hill of Conway, Allan Austin of Manila; and five aunts, Patricia Finley of Manila, Terry Rabey of Paragould, June Hill of Conway, Barbara Austin of Manila and Connie Barks of Little Rock; and one niece and 16 cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bonnie and Zola Hale, Louis and Mildred Barks and James and Mary Austin.

A graveside service was held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral service of Manila. Rev. Ferrel Duffel officiated.

Honorary pallbearers were Sam Miller, Rodney McCain, Thurman Hitchcock, Jimmy Hitchcock, Virgil Hitchcock, Bill Wells and Michael Tarver.
