James M. Cobb - Ferguson, Mo.

James M. Cobb died Wednesday, March 10, 2004. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ferguson, Mo., Masters Lodge 542 AF & AM; 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite, Moolah Shrine, Rob Morris Chapter 328, OES, White Shrine and North County Shrine, Lions Club of Ferguson and NTMA for over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division during World War II and was awarded two Bronze Stars.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Cobb Martin, and Janette and husband, Marty, Mraz; a son and daughter-in-law, James R. Cobb and Tammy; grandchildren, Linda and John Lipka, Steven R. Martin, Laura Buffa, Michele and Kerry Boeker, Marjean and Dan Buescher, Janice Kayes, Richard Cobb and Jennifer Daly; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, N. Christeen Earnhart Cobb.

Visitation was held at White-Mullen Mortuary, Florissant Road, Ferguson, on Thursday and a Lions Rose Ceremony was held at 6:30 p.m. OES service and a Masonic Service were held. A committal service with full military honors was held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery was held March 12. A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church in Ferguson.
