Guy W. Collier - Blytheville

Guy W. Collier, 90, of Blytheville, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at the Regional Medical Center of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro. Born March 21, 1913, in Rector, the son of Richard J. and Grace Frazier collier, he had been a resident of Blytheville for most of his life, an automobile mechanic, and of the Methodist faith. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Tammy Collier of Lake City; two sisters, Marie Lyle and Ruby Briley, both of Blytheville; and two grandchildren, Katie Miller Collier of Lake City and Ronnie James collier of Forrest City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Christine Dillworth Collier, three brothers, Bill, Everett, and Walter Collier, and a sister, Eunice Duncan.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Danny Rigney officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
