Leo Anderson Brinkley - Luxora

Leo Anderson Brinkley, 90, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Osceola. Born at Morrilton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hattie Bruce Brinkley, was formerly of the Lost Cane Community and a longtime Luxora resident. He was owner and operator of Brinkley's Garage and was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his wife, Nola Murray Brinkley of Luxora; a son, Lloyd Brinkley of Luxora; two daughters, Bettye Binkley of Bartlett, Tenn., and Reba McLean of El Sobrante, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Manila Cemetery with Rev. Berlen Walker officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
