Raymond Gean Scott - Manila

Raymond Gean Scott, 64, of Manila died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville. He was born in the Blackwater Community, near Manila, and was the son of the late Raymond Arthur Scott. He was a lifelong Manila resident and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Blytheville. He was a graduate of Manila High School and member of the Manila First First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sue York Scott of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Debbe Scott and Barry and Tammi Scott, all of Manila; his mother, Violet Waddell Alexander of Manila; two step-sons, Michael Morris and Robert Morris, both of Horseshoe Lake; two step-daughters, Tina Thorn of Manila and Amy Seacrest of Horseshoe Lake; a brother, Bobby Scott of Manila; two sisters, Elizabeth Vance of Truxton, Mo., and Marcia Morgan of Belleville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, Brooke, Kylle, Caitlyn, Kimberly, Micka, John, Bradley, Thomas, Carl and Scotty.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Wells Scott, and a brother, Jimmy Scott.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
