Black Oak

Tom Hatch, 50, of Black Oak died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock. Born at Jonesboro, he was a registered nurse who worked at Regional Medical Center of NEA and was a member of Refuge General Baptist Church. He also held membership in Lake City Masonic Lodge No. 405 and American Legion Pickett Post No. 21. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Regina Hatch, of the home; two sons, Andy Hatch of Monette and Brooks Hatch of Caraway; two daughters, Brandi Clay of Black Oak and Breanna Slagley of Tuckerman; his mother, Frances Hatch of Lake City; two brothers, Mike Hatch of Monette and Paul Hatch of McCrory; a sister, Vickie white of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren, Jasmyn Clay, Dalton Clay, Fletcher Clay and Lillie Hatch.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Hatch.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Refuge General Baptist Church near Lake City with Larry Ward officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.

Pallbearers were David Nelson, Curt Timms, Mike Carlton, Larry Ladd, Ken Grimes and Alan Gibson.

Honorary pallbearers included the cardiovascular staff of Regional Medical Center of NEA and DR. James Ameika.
