Locadio Zabala - Nipomo, Calif.

Locadio Zabala, 86, of Nipomo, Calif., died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at the French Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Born in Simmons, now known as Montebello, Calif., he had lived most of his life in Pico Rivera before moving to Nipomo about 10 years ago. He worked for Petroleum and Minerals Operations for over 30 years and later retired. Mr. Zabala was of the Catholic belief.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Amelia Zabala, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Pasqual and Bea Zabala of Pico Rivera, Calif. And Leo James and Mariela Zabala, Sr., of Whitter, Calif.; three daughters and a son-in-law, Paula Browne of Nipomo, Calif.; Jo Anguiano of Apple Valley, Calif., and Yvonne and Frank Hernandez of Manila; 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters. a son-n-law, and two great-grandsons.

A memorial mass was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church of Pico Rivera, Calif. All arrangements were under the direction of Lady Family Mortuary and Crematory of Arroyo Grande, Calif.
