Timothy M. Penix - Manila

Timothy Maynard Penix, 47, of Manila died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at his residence. Born in Little Rock, he was the son of the late Ruby Nell Shipley Penix and had been a longtime Manila area resident. He was a longtime employee of Home Oil Company in Dell and a member of Westside Church of God in Manila. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Penix.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Benham Penix of the home; three sons, Scotty Penix of Jonesboro, Greg Penix of Leachville and Chad Penix of the home; his father and stepmother, Bobby and Thelma Penix of Beebe; two brothers, Jerrell Glenn Penix of Leachville and Bobby Joe Penix of Hornersville, Mo.; a sister, Rebecca Cole of Harrison; and six grandchildren.

Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Brian Johnson officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Chuck Smith, Jimmy Smith, Chris Smith, Tony Benham, Chuckie Benham and Danny Webb.
