Peggy S. Lea - Bono

Peggy S. Lea, 62, of Bono, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at her home. Born in Monette, she lived in Bono for 40 years and was formerly of Black Oak. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ belief.

Survivors include her husband, James Lea of the home; a daughter, Sonja Bruce of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, Larry DeJarnette of Little Rock; five sisters, Julie DeJarnette of Jonesboro, Louise Altom of St. Anne, Mo., Virginia Cardwell of Hazelwood, Mo., LoraLyle Williams of Monette and Shirley Landreth of Pine Bluff; and two grandchildren Kathryn Elizabeth Bruce and Grayson Lee Bruce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Willie DeJarnette.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Jerry Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Rusty Trevatham, George Penter, Joe Griffin, Gary Thompson, Pat Mitchener and Roy Browning.
