Monette

Wendell M. Berryhill, 86, of Monette, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at Monette Manor. He was a retired farmer, member of Monette First Baptist Church, U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and had served in the Aleution Islands in Alaska. He had lived in Monette most of his life.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Jan G. Berryhill of Richmond, Vir.; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and M. Doug Hall of Monette; sisters-in-law, Lawanda, and husband Ed Crawford, of Marion, Ill., Jane Baldridge of St. Louis, Mo., and Nancy LaDell Harris of Kennett, Mo.; aunt, Glady McDaniel of Paragould; two grandchildren, Brooke Ashley and Jordan E. Berryhill of Richmond, Vir., and two step-grandchildren, Kevin Hall and Kim Owens of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Emily Berryhill, his wife, Labelva E. Berryhill, an infant son and four sisters.

A graveside service was held Wednesday at Greene County Memorial Gardens with Dr. Bruce Tippitt officiating. Gregg Fuenral Home of Monette was in charge of arrangements.
