Bernice Martin - Paragould

Bernice Martin, 65, of Paragould, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was a homemaker, member of Eastside Baptist Church in Trumann, and had lived in Paragould four years, formerly of Lake City.

She is survived by her husband, Quinton Martin, of the home; a son, Ray Martin of Paragould; a daughter, Reba Shirley of Paragould; a brother, Raymond Clark, of Highland; eight grandchildren, Tommy Shirley, Dwayne Shirley, Jeff Shirley, Melanie Walker, Shannon Martin, Brandi Martin, Adam Rondell, and Robin Lidell; and five great-grandchildren, Zach Shirley, Natalie Shirley, Jazmyn Walker, Tymra Walker and Weston Shirley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Eva Clark, a brother, J.T. Clark, and two sons, James and Larry Martin.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Thom Cody officiating. Burial was at the Senath Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Active pallbearers were Tommy Shirley, Dwayne Shirley, Jeff Shirley, Tim Walker, Michael Potter, and Wes Fowler. Honorary pallbearer was Danny Roberson.
