Arthur J. Carter - Jonesboro

Arthur J. Carter, 72, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at his home. He was retired from Budd Automotive Company in Gary, Ind. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by a son, Donald Carter, of Monette; a daughter, Donna Lynn Littell of Lake Station, Ind.; four sisters, Beatrice Wagner of Michigan City, Ind., and Elsie McConnaughay of Paragould, Marguarite Ward of Jonesboro, and Doris Mason of Jonesboro; three brothers, Archie Carter, Cletis Carter, and Curtis Carter, all of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Donald Arthur Carter, Brittney Patricia Marie Carter, Cheyenne Setena Carter, Ashley Marie Littell, Bobby Lynn Littell, and Lucas Wayne Littell.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ed and Willie Carter, and a grandson, Kaleb Chase Carter.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
