Vernon Leroy Koch - Osceola

Vernon Leroy Koch, 77, of Osceola, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Osceola Health Care in Osceola. Born Oct. 1, 1925, in Puxico, Mo., he was a World War II Navy veteran, a parts manager and a member of Brinkley Chapel Baptist Church in Etowah.

He is survived by three sons, Don Koch of Hot Springs, Roy Koch of Las Vega and David Koch of Osceola; a stepson, Clay Battles of Etowah; a daughter, Jean Bishop of Van Buren; three stepdaughters, Lisa, Donna and Patty; two sisters, Mary Davis of Flint, Mich., and Wanda Fowler of Idaho; a brother, Emery Koch of St. Louis; six grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Bro. Dale Walker officiating. Burial was in Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah. Friends served as pallbearers.
