Doyel Wayne Sarrels - Beech Grove

Doyel Wayne Sarrels, 51, of Beech Grove, died Friday, March 7, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born, Sept. 8, 1951 in Manila. He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. He had lived in Beech Grove for eight years, formerly of Leachville.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris Presley Sarrels, of the home; a son, Chris Sarrels, of Light; a daughter, Karen Smith, of Joensboro; two brothers, Robert Sarrels of Blytheville and Johnny Sarrels of Baron Springs, Mich.; a sister, Mary Robinson of Leachville; two grandchildren, Ashley Sarrels and Hunter Sarrels.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Sarrels and Izora McCloud Sarrels and a grandson, Ethan Marshall Smith.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday at Beech Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Williams officiating. Burial was at Beech Grove Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
