John Thomas Edward "Cowboy" Milligan - Jonesboro

John Thomas Edward "Cowboy" Milligan, 73, of Jonesboro, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was retired from Singer cooperation and of the Baptist Faith. He had lived in Jonesboro for six years, formerly of Caraway.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Milligan, of the home; three sisters, May Brewer of Sikeston, Mo., Vera Thompson of Frost Proof, Fla., and Rosa Hightower of Caraway; a brother, William Robert Milligan Jr., of South Shore, Ky.; two daughters, Frances Huskisson of Caraway, and Doris Buck of the home; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nancy Milligan; a sister, Lorene May; and a grandson Willis Earnest Pollard.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Michael Vore, Edward Pollard, John Huskisson, Anthony Buck, Dustin Stevens, Virgil Raymond Hightower.
